Saturday 25th March saw stunning blue skies and light winds which meant the first group of our Team Invacare charity skydivers were lucky enough to face the challenge in what were arguably the best jumping conditions of the year so far! And what’s more is Dylan, the young boy we are fundraising for, had a fantastic morning watching everyone jump and followed the parachutes as they flew down. It was especially lovely for the team to meet Dylan and his family knowing their efforts are going to a worthy cause which will really make a difference.
Dylan has a rare neuromuscular disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy so his family and friends are raising funds in order to provide Dylan with specialist equipment to offer him more independence. Our aim in the skydive challenge is to raise as much sponsorship as possible as well as raise awareness of this rare disorder. All funds raised from the skydives will be put towards this equipment which will change Dylan’s life for the better!
The second group will jump this Saturday (April 1st) so fingers crossed for a repeat performance from the weather.
