Will it be game, set and match for wild card Lucy Shuker at Wimbledon 2017?
Invacare sports ambassador and current British wheelchair tennis number one, Lucy Shuker, has been awarded the wild card for this year’s Wimbledon in the ladies’ wheelchair singles. Lucy is a multiple Paralympic medallist and current World Masters Doubles holder so we’re confident in her ability to give an outstanding performance throughout the championships this month.
Lucy plays in our Top End tennis chair. Discussing her reasons for choosing Top End, Lucy said: “Playing at such a high level as a P4 paraplegic, having a chair that could be adjusted to my particular specifications was essential to meet my needs in regards to manoeuvring and speed. I need to be 100% secure and my Top End chair allows this.”
