Team Invacare present cheque to young Dylan after charity jump
Back in March this year, a group of Invacare employees conquered their fears and took part in a charity skydive to raise funds for a young local boy, Dylan. Dylan took a trip to Skydive Swansea to watch everyone jump and had a fantastic time following the parachutes as they flew down. It was a great motivator for the team to meet Dylan and his family first-hand to know their efforts are going to an extremely worthy cause.
Dylan has a rare neuromuscular disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy so his family and friends are raising funds to provide Dylan with specialist equipment to offer him more independence. Our aim for the skydive challenge was to raise as much sponsorship as possible as well as raise awareness of this rare disorder.
Overall, Team Invacare managed to raise a whooping £2,368 which will be put towards the equipment hopefully making a huge difference to Dylan’s life.
Here are some exciting photos of the jumps:
Shortly after the jumps, we were fortunate enough to meet Dylan once again at Invacare UK in Pencoed, Bridgend to present him with the cheque containing the total sum of hard-earned and very generous donations from all.
Team Invacare would like to give a huge thanks to everyone who contributed and helped to reach the maximum number of funds. The support given and the efforts put in made a massive difference to the team’s experience. Also a big thank you to Dylan, it was a pleasure to spend the day with you!
