Runner-up in National finals of Make UK Manufacturing Awards for Invacare
Following on from Invacare’s success in winning the regional final last year at the Make UK Manufacturing Health and Safety Awards 2021, the company was placed into the National Awards and judged alongside companies from various industries. The Invacare Operations team had worked tirelessly to make essential changes in the manufacturing process of its mattress production which finally paid off.
The team were delighted to achieve ‘Runner-up’ status in the National finals of the Health and Safety Awards and the recognition this has given the company in reaching its objective for the removal of dichloromethane from the mattress production, as well aligning with our automation goals. This has eliminated the main health and safety concern from one our production lines, improving the working environment for its employees.
Commenting on the award, managing director of Invacare UK Operations Ltd and Head of Operational Excellence EMEA, Chris Bevan said: “The Invacare UK team are pleased to be recognised for their hard work and innovation on these projects.”
