Team Invacare climbed highest mountain in Wales for local charity

Over the past few weeks, Team Invacare have been raising funds for Chernobyl Children’s Life Line, Mid Glamorgan Link by carrying out a range of activities including cake sales, a raffle with various prizes and finally a tough Mount Snowdon climb which was completed last Saturday.

All funds raised are going to be donated to Chernobyl Children’s Life Line, Mid Glamorgan Link which is a local charity close to a member of Team Invacare’s heart. The charity raises much-needed funds to bring as many children from Belarus over to the UK for 4 weeks’ respite from the effects of the radiation that still affects the country, a staggering 31 years after nuclear disaster. Due to poor immune systems, there is an unbelievably high number of children with cancer, therefore this short break away from the radiation gives the children’s immune system an imperative 2-year boost. Thousands of children have benefitted since the charity started up 2 decades ago.

The total we have raised for this worthy charity so far is an amazing £2,098.  This wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing generosity of the staff at Invacare, our customers and suppliers – a huge thanks go to all who helped and supported this cause.
