Invacare’s Safe Patient Handling team commits to OTAC

Invacare, a leading manufacturer of Safe Patient Handling solutions, is delighted to announce that it will be attending several OTAC (Occupational Therapy Adaptation Conference) exhibitions in 2018.

Growing every year since its launch in 2015, OTAC, which is organised by Promoting Independence, is the UK’s only free Occupational Therapy Adaptations Conference and Exhibition event. The exhibitions provide a perfect opportunity for Occupational Therapists to not only engage with equipment suppliers, but gain valuable knowledge around adaptations and network with their peers.

With seminar sessions scheduled at every exhibition, the educational nature of OTAC relates closely to Invacare’s clinical approach to Safe Patient Handling, and as a result members of Invacare’s Safe Patient Handling team will be delivering their own sessions at each exhibition. Also, solutions such as the Invacare Robin ceiling hoist and the Aquatec Ocean shower chair commode will be present to demonstrate how they can help support adaptations.

Discussing Invacare’s attendance at the exhibitions, Lisa Cook, Product Marketing Manager – Lifestyle commented:

“We are extremely excited to be working with Promoting Independence and attending several OTAC exhibitions through 2018. We feel that the educational emphasis of the exhibitions fits perfectly with our long-standing commitment to education and training within Safe Patient Handling.”
