Making Life's Experiences Possible

Invacare believes that with the right equipment it is possible for everyone to participate in life’s experiences and this ethos forms a fundamental part of Invacare’s brand values. For many, that is as simple as living independently at home for as long as possible or, for some its the freedom to go out and about or participate in more active hobbies and sports.

Lucy's Story

Multiple Paralympic medallist and current World Masters Doubles holder Lucy Shuker represents Invacare as a sports ambassador.

“Playing at such a high level as a P4 paraplegic, having a chair that could be tweaked to particular specifications was essential to meet my needs in regards to manoeuvring and speed. I need to be 100% secure in my chair and Top End allows this.”

Dave's Story

Until recently, Dave relied on a power chair to get around but due to a recent health scare, he decided he needed to become more active and independent so he switched back to a manual wheelchair with power-assist wheels.

"I’m 65 years old and although I’ve had a few goes in getting to grips with the emotion wheels, I now feel more confident that they will assist me in changing my lifestyle and get me fitter."

Peter's Story
Peter Huddart
Other than a couple of shopping trips, Peter hadn't really given his new powerchair a good run. However a recent trip to Eastbourne was the ideal opportunity to really test it out.

"The weather was great and the freedom my new Invacare TDX SP2 chair gave to both my wife and I was amazing. Now free of struggling to push my manual chair, Diane could walk at her own speed and go into any shops she wished without having to worry about me."
